The BCS Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ICDL Advanced) is designed to build on learners' existing digital knowledge, developing expert-level use of the software applications that are essential in every business today.

The qualification covers five core areas — word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, databases and productivity in IT — giving learners a well-rounded, advanced set of digital skills for the workplace. BCS qualifications are approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

  • Learners should be aged 16 and over.
  • Learners should undertake Initial and Diagnostic assessment held by the College.
  • Our Recognition of Prior Learning policy means that students' previous learning and experience can be considered, and they may be awarded certain qualifications or units of a qualification based on that learning or experience.
