Assessment is by internally assessed portfolio of evidence. There are no exams and no grades — learners must demonstrate all learning outcomes.

Successful completion of the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Working in the Health Sector enables learners to progress to a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, the Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, or a Health and Social Care Apprenticeship.
